13th Ramadhan

Today is September 4th/25th Ramadhan and I'm updating for happenings of weeks back. Arrrghhh.......Short updates je lah.............banyak lagi gambar tak upload.........mati mati mati.....ni pun kena guna my old laptop sebab the one yang selalu pakai went kaput! Kena hantar repair........esok je lah.

This is a dumb cooking post........I've been cooking this Ramadhan.....yay!


I made Kerabu Kerang........using my dad's recipe. He taught my mom to prepare it. All of us in the family *me-brother-mom-dad* loves eating the Kerabu Kerang. Dulu masa I sekolah dulu kalau nak buat kerabu ni memang azab sebab kena kopek kerang sebiji-sebiji! Dulu mana ada kerang yang dah kopek........nak makan punya pasal......I dua beradik kena laa ambik duty kopek kerang ni. Sampai sakit-sakit belakang dok mengopek kerang! Makan jam baru nak siap.

Not only the kopek kerang part , kalau my mom yang buat kerabu ni mesti kena buat kerisek. I remembered kena mesin kepala goreng. My mom goreng kelapa & then I mesin-kan.......belum lagi kena perah santan. Kalau buat sikit-sikit tak pe.....Kalau buat Kerabu Kerang kat rumah I,,,,,,it will be the main dish and mesti buat banyakkkkkkkk.......

Masa I mengandung Yna , Kerabu Kerang ni lah jadi my favourite food.......boleh kata every other week my mom kena buat.....


SO,,,,,,bila dah sampai kat I,,,,,,version-nya mesti laa super duper fast. No sakit-sakit belakang involved.......hehehe! First,,,,,,,,,,in a big big bowl perah limau nipis depending on how sour you want your kerabu to be........then add salt to taste.


Using kerang yang dah siap kopek yang I beli kat Giant , make sure to blanch the cockles & beansprouts first.........Add these 2 ingredients into the bowl together with the lime juice & salt mixture......


Then in goes some cili padi & bawang merah.........dashes of black peppers........


Next in goes coconut milk & ready made kerisek..........


Mix well & that's it........hehehe! Seriously easy.



Next am making some omelette with prawns.........


I used 6 eggs + daun bawang + chopped garlic + salt + prawns.......mix well.......


.........and goreng le telur tu....


Pretty easy & my family loves it.



Next...........am making Ginger Beef.......my version.


Using the root part of daun bawang , young ginger , chopped ginger & garlic.........tumis. Bila dah nak bau , masuk-kan daging......


I added a bit of salt & water & simmer it till the beef is tender.......then add daun bawang & just a few dashes of sesame oil.


Before you know it , it's done.


A note for me : Only me ate the Kerabu Kerang..........MP tak jamah langsung.......not his taste le kerabu-kerabu nih....
